I am an internationally published author of a
science fiction/fantasy adventure series.

Marshall Cavendish launched the
Shadow Beasts
Series
in the SE Asia/Pacific markets. In 2007,
the publisher packaged the series in a boxed set.
Marshall Cavendish-USA published the books for
North America and Europe as the
Outcasts Series.

                     ***
Other publications include The Insider's Guide
to North Carolina, Alphabet Stew, Fizzik Rules,
Eye of the Storm (hurricane essays), numerous
articles in newspapers and magazines, press
releases and other print pieces.

PLAYS: I wrote plays that were produced for
Missouri Repertory Theatre, Martin City
Melodrama and Old Shawnee Days. I have also
written teleplays and screenplays. My radio
dramas aired on Kansas Public Radio and are kept
in the University of Kansas archives.

             ***
In addition to publishing fiction and nonfiction, I
have taught writing classes for years. One of my
happiest moments was meeting one of my
students who had worked with me on his science
fiction book. He published the book and is working
on more. That is so rewarding for me, to see
people succeed.
